Before students even choose a college, they’re faced with the question of what to study. Brett led all website and UX content writing.

Concept
Find Your Degree at UAB is a platform to help prospective students decide on a major and choose to attend UAB. The typical user of the site had a high-school education, so the client, UAB Admissions, wanted to stay away from higher-ed jargon and break town complex topics. For example: Does your average high-schooler understand what bioinformatics is? This site needed to explain the term — and what you could do with such a degree.

Execution
Brett served as content lead. She managed a freelance copywriter, with whom she divided and wrote content for 200+ degrees — plus all instructional and microcopy. She collaborated with web, design, and admissions teams to put together the final product.

The site was honored in 2020 by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education (CASE) District III. It received Silver in the category of Recruitment Site or Microsite.
